Interiors—like an office or a living room—are an opportunity to design an environment that is a physical representation of your brand, whether corporate or personal. As such, an environment needs to reflect your values, feel like you and be a space you love (and love being in!).
WHAT DOES THE PROCESS LOOK LIKE
Think of me as your partner—share your visions, your vision boards, and your favorite things and let me help you pull it all together. As your consultant I can provide design coordination and help you make your selections, bring another point of view, and being your gut check. I can fill in the gaps between you and the builder and ask the questions you may not know to ask, so both parties are getting the information they need to keep the project moving forward.
It’s important to remember the details with your finish selections (like door stops, so that your newly installed doorknobs don’t punch holes in your brand new sheet rock!) and understanding budgets and allowances so your selections don't break the bank.
I always focus on the big picture, paying attention to the form and function of the space and looking at how choices impact other choices.
I can be your advocate throughout all the various processes.
I love the challenge of filling an empty space with elements that surround you with the colors, textures, and styles that truly speak to who you are. Your space should fit your personality, starting with finish selections like cabinets, countertops, hardware, and color schemes.
With my ability to read plans and visualize them in the finished form, I can help you select the finishes that make the most sense. I’ve learned that, with build projects, the devil is in the details.
Using my understanding of the building process, I also know how selections and sequencing play a part in meeting your end goals. What I am passionate about is helping owners like you fulfill their vision of their new space—and more importantly, that they are genuinely excited about the end result!
New construction and the renovation process can feel overwhelming, design coordination requires so many choices to be made about style and finish. Timely decisions need to be made in unison with your construction schedule. Additional considerations of sequencing, cost, and availabilities also factor in. And if that is not enough this typically is not the only project on your plate, life doesn't stop to allow you to focus only on this.
A newly built space has opportunities for touchpoints—finish selections and arrangements for your walls, what to display, what materials to use, and how to use scale (as in, the most appropriate sizes of different items). Truly thoughtful, intentional decor can reflect your values and make a statement. It’s all about approaching your space with an overall strategy and I can help you visualize the steps to get to a complete cohesive finished product.
HOME SWEET HOME
If we’ve done our job right, this should feel like home. Your new space will feel fresh but still familiar, with a comfort and style that is uniquely you, and perfectly suited to how you want to live your life.
